Beneath the Bark: Asian Longhorned Beetle First Detector Training

When

  • April 5, 2018
    8:30am - 1:00pm

What

Invasive wood boring insects can have a tremendous impact on our forests.  Reminiscent of the Emerald ash borer, the Asian longhorned beetle presents a new threat.  Early detection is key in containing the insect and treating impacted trees.  This program will equip arborists, natural resource professionals and homeowners – anyone who routinely inspects or maintains trees – with the knowledge needed to recognize the signs and symptoms of these detrimental insects.
