The Dawes Arboretum presents the 7th annual symposium! Featured speaker Chris Bedel, Preserve System Director for the Edge of Appalachia will discuss saving species through habitat preservation. Expert-led tours of The Arboretum will allow a close-up of The Arboretum’s restoration and conservation efforts. The event also offers sessions on invasive plant identification, alternatives to invasive plants in the landscape, habitat restoration in home landscapes and more! This is one event you don’t want to miss. Optional field trips to Spring Valley Nature Preserve and Blackhand Gorge will be offered on Friday, August 3 for an additional fee. Limited student spaces are available through Monday, July 9. Tickets with lunch must register by Monday, July 31. All others must register by Friday, August 3.
