It’s possible you have heard the exciting news by now. The Dawes Arboretum was recently nominated as one of the best botanical gardens in the nation in USA Today’s latest 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest. We are among 18 other public gardens in the running to reach the top spot and claim the title of “Best Botanical Garden” nationwide. We need your help to get us there! Here are three ways that you can show your love for The Dawes Arboretum and help us reach the top spot on the list.
1. Vote for The Dawes Arboretum
Voting is easy, requires no login information and can be done DAILY from any device from now until March 27 at noon. All you have to do is click the word “vote” on the contest page and your vote will be counted automatically. Click here to go directly to the contest page: http://bit.ly/2lPXYow
2. Spread the word
We’re encouraged by everyone who has already shared the contest online. Continue to spread the word to as many people as possible – friends, family members, coworkers, the grocery store clerk, etc. Send an email to your contact list, tell all your friends or share the contest information on social media. You can also find Arboretum posts about the contest on Facebook or Twitter and retweet or share them with your family and friends. If you share the contest on social media, be sure to tag @The Dawes Arboretum on Facebook and @dawesarboretum on Instagram and Twitter.
3. Share your stories
Why do you think The Dawes Arboretum is the nation’s best? A great way to encourage people to vote for us every day is to share your own memories. When you share the contest, you might also want to include photos you’ve taken or write something about your favorite Arboretum experience. Have you learned valuable information from one of our unique classes or expert instructors? Have you been inspired by our beautiful garden settings? The possibilities are endless. Don’t forget to tag the people who’ve shared those memories with you, reminding them to vote, too.
Remember that voting runs now through Monday, March 27 at noon. We are up against some tough competition, so we need your support to get The Dawes Arboretum to the top of the list! Go vote: http://bit.ly/2lPXYow
