The Dawes Arboretum was established by Beman and Bertie Dawes on June 1, 1929, through a planned gift—a charitable trust. During their lives, they (and others) made gifts of cash and securities to a permanent operating endowment which today is the primary source of revenue for The Arboretum.
There are many kinds of planned gifts which can help donors leave a legacy at The Dawes Arboretum while at the same time providing you and your family with tax benefits. Wills, life insurance and retirement plans are just a few of the giving vehicles available. Please contact the Director of Development at 800.44.DAWES or development@dawesarb.org for further information.
