The Visitors Center provides ideal gathering places for your next meeting, conference, wedding reception or outing.
Firelight Room and Auditorium
Both rooms offer dramatic views of The Arboretum with full floor to ceiling windows, a unique setting for your next board meeting, party of retreat. Both rooms have Wi-Fi access and are easily set for presentations. Maximum capacity for the Firelight Room is100 guests and 60 guests for the Auditorium. Banquet or round tables with chairs are set to your specifications. Renting party is responsible for providing audiovisual equipment. Podium, AV cart, power cords and power strips are provided by The Arboretum.
Shelter Houses
The Arboretum is a wonderful place to hold a picnic. The Main Shelter can host 100 guests and up to 74 guests in the Education Shelter. Both shelters are equipped with picnic tables, trash/recycling receptacles, electrical outlets and access to indoor restrooms. Grilling is not permitted.
The Red Barn Area
This area offers a beautiful setting for your next event. Located just north of our Main Ground, the area encompasses a meadow filled with wildflowers, a wetland and pond visited by migrating waterfowl, as well as deep tree plots with trails just waiting to be explored.

Catering
The Arboretum’s exclusive list of caterers offers a wide variety from casual to black tie affair. You choose between the premier, full-service caterers in the central Ohio area that we have chosen.
Tours
A organized tour is a nice addition to your function. Explore our extensive plant collections, beautiful gardens and history of the Dawes family with a tour guide. Group tours are available with advance reservation. Allow 45-60 minutes per tour. Choose from a narrated from the following:
- Enjoy a narrated tour from the comfort of your bus
- Relax with a guide on an open-air covered carryall with bench seats
- Stroll through one of our gardens or natural areas on a guided walking tour
- Enjoy a guided tour through our Daweswood House Museum
- Meet at the Visitors Center for a brief introduction of The Arboretum
