Many visitors are artistically inspired from their trips to Dawes, but one man chose to write a concertino! Daweswood Suite was composed by Rick Sowash in 1980, an artist-in-residence that wrote the suite inside the Daweswood House Museum. The music was written for the clarinet, violin, cello and piano in three movements. Each movement represents plant growth and is titled “The Bud,” “The Blossom” and “The Berry.” The concertino was dedicated by Rick to former director Joe White.
