For years, The Dawes Arboretum has offered advice through our Plant Clinic program which allowed for the public to connect with one of our staff members to get answers to plant-related questions. Over time, questions expanded from simple plant identification, to garden design, green industry services, plant sourcing, wildlife, pesticide inquiries and more! Therefore, just as a caterpillar goes through a metamorphosis to become a butterfly, our former Plant Clinic has evolved and is now our new and improved Horticulture Hotline!
The Horticulture Hotline is a valuable resource for gardeners and nature lovers of any level. It’s a direct link to our experts on the topics listed above and more! In addition to the new name, we’ve created a new submission form that will be the best way to easily connect with the Horticulture Hotline team.
Within the form, you’ll submit your contact information, your preferred method of contact, filters for the type of question being asked, and even a space to include photos! Submitting a clear and concise question with relevant details will help us better understand your concerns, and when words are not enough, a photo can tell a more detailed story! (When submitting photos, please make sure they are in focus, from a variety of angles/distances and showing the overall area of concern.)
