The Dawes Arboretum is pleased to announce that the Lyman Whitaker Wind Sculpture exhibit has been extended through October 17, 2021. “We are very happy to offer our members and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the sculptures during winter and spring,” said Luke Messinger, Executive Director. “Each season provides a new and stunning backdrop for these inspirational works of art.”

See these remarkable sculptures moving with the wind in The Arboretum’s beautiful, natural setting. Make your way down the paved Parkwoods Trail and take in their calming, peaceful presence.

Lyman Whitaker is one of the most renowned kinetic artists in the world. He often takes inspiration for his designs from nature, whether hiking in the U.S. or abroad. Concerned about the sustainability of society’s present systems, Lyman hopes his artwork will inspire a more balanced relationship with the planet. Learn more about his work.
