Take a guided tour of the Daweswood House Museum, once the country home of Arboretum co-founders Beman and Bertie Dawes.  See and hear the history behind antiques and memorabilia from the Dawes family.  A house highlight is the "Rathskeller," a basement area that displays shovels used by over 100 notable men and women who dedicated trees at The Arboretum and features their initials and signatures on the ceiling.

Adults: $2     Children: $1     Members: FREE

Purchase tickets in the Visitors Center.  Please call ahead to confirm tour times.

Become a junior entomologist in this exciting insect-themed camp!  Catch and identify insects and other arthropods in fields, woods, ponds and streams.  Build a bug box, see bugs up close and make bug-tastic crafts.

What would you do if you were stranded in the wilderness?  How would you survive?  In this hands-on camp, cover the basics of what it takes, including nature awareness and mental preparedness.  Learn how to use a compass and other tools essential for survival.

Learn with a group as creative educators bring families closer to the wonders of the natural world. These programs, designed for children ages three to eight, keep the body moving and brain exercising as science is combined with games, crafts, stories and music. Activities are held on Wednesdays (June through August 9).
